1 Peter 3:8-9
Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humber.
Dot not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
Until now, i still remember this verse. It was one of the passages we had to memorise in Sunday School.
Yes, we really must learn not to bear grudges.
Do not do unto others what you do not want them to do unto you.
i believe this is quite frequently seen / heard, no?
Matthew 5:44,
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
John 15:17
This is my command: Love each other.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
The bible has given much emphasis on Loving one another.
Of course there are many more verses about love.
So, bear no grudges against one another.
One has to Forgive and Forget in the end.
Do you, then, plan to carry grudges in your heart; an extra burden, all the way to the coffin where dead people lay ?
I suppose not.
Or at least i don't want to.
Then why not instead free yourself from this burden and be a much happier person?
And with each new day you will not be thinking of how much you hate him/her ,
but instead think of how to love one another.
1 Peter 4:8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Matthew 6:14-15
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Matthew 7:1-4
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
"Why do you look at the speck of saw-dust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the spck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
Learn to accept others, as God has already accepted you.
How can you criticize others, when you yourself are in the same situation, doing the same thing?
Do you not criticize and correct yourself first ?
1 Peter 4:5
But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
Ask yourself, are you ready to be judged ?
Should you judge others, or should you not?
This remains a big question mark.
When you are judged by God, would you be able to answer to him?
Why not make use of this time and reflect,
have you been doing what is pleasing to God, our Father Almighty?
or does what you have been doing oppose his will?
Open up your hearts, let God in.
Let him fill you up, for you are now empty.
Jeremiah 17:5
This is what the Lord says:
Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
John 16:20,22
I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.
By recieving God, he surely can turn your sorrow into joy (:
And it is ETERNAL.
Not just the state of the mind;
but rather, real, true joy that can only be found in Him.
Don't worry unnecessarily;
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
God will help you overcome your problems and do the worrying for you.
Matthew 28:20
.. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Indefinitely, God will ALWAYS be there for you.
He will NEVER leave you in the lurch.
Believe in the Lord!
And i pray he will touch and change as many lives as possible,
as he has changed me.
GOD BLESS :D
